Holiday Skin Prep

It’s the most wonderful time of the year as they say, but not always for your skin! The #1 culprit is sugar, there’s sugar EVERYWHERE during the holidays. That, combined with stress and lack of sleep can make for some unhappy skin my babes. Stress is an internal from of inflammation which causes damage to our skin cells, and early onset aging of your skin! And listen, we all know how important sleep is because during that time is when our bodies and our skin rests and heals!

If you want to be mindful of how things affect your skin during this holiday season, here are my tips!

  • Watch your portions! If you want to try 5 different cookies at a cookie exchange, break them into halves or pieces to try them but not over-do it.

  • Make your own substitutes in dishes you’re preparing! Your guests probably won’t even notice the difference 😉

  • Mind over matter! Ultimately, food is your fuel and we should treat it as such! America has such a different view/attitude towards food than the rest of the world, but a change in mindset could make a huge difference!

“But what if I’m in a pinch and need a quick fix?”

Listen, quick fixes are NOT how I roll, but I do roll with ice rollers 😉 Here’s the deal, a quick fix is just that, quick, but if you’re in a pinch, here’s what I recommend.

  • A cold roller is the OG of keeping inflammation down and even preventing breakouts before they happen.

  • Spot treatments like my Sulfur by Face Reality

  • Masks like my Hydrating Enzyme from Glymed

  • Having a good cleanser is key! My Skin Better Cleansing Gel is great for all skin types!

  • Add retinol into your routine! My Skin Better Alpharet Overnight Cream will change your life!

  • You all know one of my FAVE products the CBD B3 Facial mist is a MUST.

  • Lastly, my To Go Spa Eye Masks! Perfect for a pick me up before family photos, parties, anything!

Here are a few things I ALWAYS keep in my bag during the holidays!
