Let’s Talk Brazilians

Hey Girl Hey!!! Let’s talk Brazilians! First and foremost, a lot of people do not know what they are and what they entail. A Brazilian is the waxing of your lady bits. In the past it has always been labeled as something that is quite “taboo”. But honestly, it is not, it is for self care and hygiene, they are often put in this category as being sexualized when in all reality it is the opposite, it is the most beneficial coming from a hygiene standpoint. Brazilian’s help women feel cleaner as well as have less irritation and ingrown’s from a razor!

If you are sick of razor burn and ingrown irritation and itching then try a wax, I promise you won’t regret it! Some women solely get waxed to help with yeast infections and even UTI’s. Not having all the hair to hold bacteria really helps! A lot of women who are new to waxing are curious about how frequently you need to get waxed, typically you are seen regularly anywhere from 3-6 weeks but the majority of people wax every 4 weeks. I mean, tell me that isn’t a no brainer?! Shave weekly with the high possibility of irritation or wax once a month. The hairs will grow back thinner and slower each time. Your hair growth slows simply because we are damaging the follicle with waxing, it is even possible that some hair may never grow back in areas due to the damage. The longer you wax the better! Something that I do want to say is that hormones do control all. So if you get pregnant/menopause or go through any kind of hormonal change that can change the hair growth. I would never switch back to shaving now matter what the circumstances were because honestly, the benefits of waxing outweigh shaving.

So what do we wax with a Brazilian? The front and backside is included! Yes, I just said backside. Aka the booty hole. Seems so gross I know but lets get really real here. It is probably one of the best things ever! No hair on the front and backside makes life so much easier and cleaner. We all have hair, we are all women and have the same body parts. I live by the saying a body is a body! I am not here to ever judge you! Come as you are! Come extra hairy come not so hairy we are all unique and cant help the way we were born and our genetics. So if you have hair that is a never ending bikini line please do not ever be afraid to get a wax. I want to be here to make you comfortable and happy, because I love what I do. I love the fact that waxing can make someone feel more confident and comfortable with themselves. You are not gross for having hair! We all have it! Some just more than others. You are beautiful the way you are and please do not ever think differently.

Next, the most important thing when it comes to waxing is making sure you find the right person to wax you. Someone who makes you comfortable and most importantly someone who takes pride in cleanliness of their waxing area, and supplies. The person you go to should be wearing gloves and never double dipping in the wax. The wax shouldn't be so hot that it's burning you because that can damage your skin as well as make for a terrible waxing experience. Please speak up to the waxer and communicate with them if it is. Next, you should never be bruised from wax. If your waxer is rough and leaves bruises I would suggest elsewhere. I love what I do so it is important that I research the best of the best when it comes to products and procedures. I want to make sure to have the right kind of products to aid in the service. I use a high quality wax along with after care! Speaking of aftercare, yes it is needed with waxing. If you are messing around in that area. You should use aftercare to help keep the skin hydrated and help prevent ingrown hair. I have different after care products depending on each person's skin and hair type. You shouldn't abuse that skin area. Hydration as well as exfoliation is so important in treating waxed areas. The hairs get so thin that sometimes they don't like to pop through the surface of the skin so you need the right kind of products to help without causing irritation and to help them make their way through the skin layers. Remember, waxing can get very complicated and it is not an easy service that just anyone can perform. Do your research and read reviews before heading into a wax!
